LCC (Leadless Chip Carrier)
- In LCC (Leadless Chip Carrier) a surface mounting device[SMD] which uses board attachment surfaces on the sides of its body and has no legs or leads. On all four sides of the package, a chip carrier has a terminal.
- LCC is IC package that has no pins leads for connection.
- Usually, a leadless chip carrier is square or rectangular.
- In contrast to other integrated circuit packaging, leadless chip carriers do not connect to devices via pins, but by means of pads or metal pads on the packet's periphery.
- In LCC easy and comfortable direct insertion on your connector mounted on the circuit board is leadless chip carrier.
- LCC is a low-cost surface-mounting solution because it is lightweight and does not feature any outside metal legs or leads. No hole is required for leadless chip carriers, unlike dual-inline packages.
- LCC are light weight and used for direct to its socket in PCB .
